Parent-Teacher partnerships are critical to student achievement, and at the heart of this dynamic is communication. Parents and teachers must have open, two-way dialogue that is frequent, consistent, and collaborative in nature.
Every parent, regardless of the situation, should be able to engage the school on behalf of their student and believe they are an important part of the educational process for their student.
PARENT VOICES INITIATIVE
Beginning in August and goes throughout the school year.
We need to hear from parents! It is just that simple. We have several ways parent voices can be heard including joining the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) and participating in surveys, polls, and other means of data collection. Hearing from you helps guide educational decision-making and how we as a school system can better meet the educational and community needs of the community we serve. This includes all Title 1 surveys and data collection.
FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MONTH
November 2021
We will be celebrating Family & Community Engagement Month in November. Family & Community Engagement Month, which includes National Parent Involvement Day (November 18, 2021), in an intentionally designed opportunity to celebrate parents and caregivers and promote opportunities for parent-school-community engagement.
WILDCATS TOGETHER ACADEMY
COMING SOON!
Wildcat Family Academy includes teacher professional development on family and community engagement as well as family and community opportunities such as webinars, learning nights, and more. In particular ACS has adopted the Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Family-School Partnerships (Version 2) as a compass or guide for the Family And Community Engagement program.

S.T.I.C. stands for Student Tutoring in Churches. It is part of the Community aspect of FACE and looks to engage faith communities to be part of the solution in overcoming barriers to student acheivement.
